If you want to export a large number of photos from iNaturalist for research, please use our iNaturalist Licensed Observation Images dataset. That page has documentation about licenses and how the data are structured.
If you want to download a few photos, you can go to an observation's page where the photo exists. On the photo, click on the "i" icon at the bottom to go to the photo's page. Choose the size you would like and save it from your browser.
